President Barack Obama joined the question-and-answer site Quora today to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act, part of a broader push to reach young people and encourage them to sign up for insurance at Healthcare.gov. In two answers posted to the site, Obama promoted improvements to the enrollment process and explained some of the benefits of healthcare reform. "For young people, health insurance is about peace of mind," the president wrote. "It gives you the freedom to try several jobs until you find the one you love, chase that new idea, or start your own business, without fear that the unexpected will derail your dreams."

Joining Quora is part of a last-minute push the White House is making to encourage young people to sign up for insurance before the March 31st enrollment deadline. Previously, the president appeared on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis and had celebrity moms make videos talking up the importance of being insured. The White House wanted to have 5.6 million people enrolled by the end of February, but as of March 1st had only seen 4.2 million signups. Obama became the first Quora user to get a verified account, which the company says will begin rolling out to other high-profile users.
