I think the problem is that facebook is trying to hard to remain relevant. They’ve tied themselves to so many companies that they have to please said companies before their own users. Ads have become such a big part of facebook. It’s been fully monetized and is quickly becoming stale. What’s more, Instagram has fallen victim to Facebook, making one of the more popular mobile applications a key target for facebook’s next wave of anti-user policy. There’s no reason for this to be happening. Of course, I’d still trust Facebook over Google.
