Post comment on The Verge to "Sony NEX-5R review: can the best mirrorless camera get even better?"

I have this camera in silver, and I’m loving it so far. My main reasons for purchase were the huge sensor, the interchangeable lenses (a first for me), and the wifi sharing capabilities. My only real complaint is that resistive touchscreen…yuck. I’m still getting used to the Sony controls…I’ve been using Canon’s for so long, it’s a bit of an adjustment.

As for the PlayMemories app…works perfectly on my iPad and iPhone, both running iOS 6. I used both as remote viewfinders to take some photos and both performed flawlessly. Not only does it act a remote viewfinder, but it transfers the image to the iPhone or iPad as soon as you take it. It’s pretty much just a really good remote lens at that point. So if it’s not iOS 6 compatible, it sure fooled me.

In case you’re wondering, to do the wifi sharing, the camera becomes an access point, and you connect to it with your phone or tablet that way. Transfers only take a few seconds.
