"Sony NEX-5R review: can the best mirrorless camera get even better?"

The touchscreen on the NEX-5R is a resistive one instead of capacitive. I tried that at the Sony showroom and it is easily to be identified by the response. I used to have a NEX-5N which have a capacitive touchscreen which have a much better experience. So I ended up with NEX-6 which the power zoom kit lens and the gorgeous EVF worth every pennies.

Check out the specification of NEX-5R touchscreen – “pressure-sensitive type”.
