Pretty much this. I prefer the N7, but it’s not a blanket recommendation. It depends…
If you are happy with iTunes, or the iOS ecosystem in general, the mini is the better option. If you subscribe to Google’s “world” (gmail, G+, calendar, drive, chat) and want something that’s more of an internet companion than an app launcher, it’s N7 all the way.
If that’s still not enough to sway you one way or another, then just make the call on the screen size: smaller and more portable (N7), larger and easier to use (mini).
