The Nexus 7 is great for the price, but there is no doubt it is a budget tablet – even if the best budget tablet.
From little things like the lack of a magnetic cover on/off (I taped a flat magnet on my cover, but its too strong and turns off the tablet when folded back) to the email that always displays HTML mails too large for the screen, to the lack of infrastructure (third party cases, etc) to the sadder app story (the eBay app is a joke), to the stuttering web browser, the iPad provides a better experience.
The Nexus 7 may do 70% of the functionality, but it isn’t nearly as polished even in what it does.
