Here is how much “hassle” I have to go through to use my Nexus 7. Take out my phone, unlock, turn on tethering….the end. My N7 has wifi on 24/7. The battery drain of having it on 24/7 is barely noticeable. I charge my N7 every other day and I am on that thing constantly. when I get into the office it will switch to my office’s wifi automatically. When I’m at home it uses that wifi.
So for the joy of paying $20/month for data I’m saving myself the “hassle” of nearly 10 seconds worth of work. No thanks.
