Only downsides listed are Ecosystem (App and Content) and Storage options. I believe Ecosystem is filling out in a big way as developers are moving to Android due to it’s 75% marketshare (and growing). There is simply too many Android devices in the customers hands to ignore. Storage options should be fixed over time as memory gets cheaper. For now, you’ll have to select which apps (or content) you really care about.
