The more I use a cellular-connected tablet, the harder it becomes to live without one.

A mobile device without an always-on internet connection is fundamentally crippled. They are supposed to automatically sync, to push messages and emails, to provide real-time notifications. And having the WWW there at the switch of an app rather than at the end of an irritating tether which is dependent upon already meagre battery life of your phone is a blessing.

I would no more accept a WiFi-only tablet as my main tablet than I would accept a WiFi-only phone as my main phone.

It helps that extra PAYG accounts here are only $1/month.
