I carry both and they tend to fit different needs & tastes. I am no Apple fan but they make a great tablet. My kids use my iPad (3rd Gen Retina) more than I do and my wife uses her Xoom more often than her iPad. The Nexus 7 is a great product that is easy to use and will not send me to the poor house if I accidentally drop it. I cannot say the same for the iPad.
