You mean on your iPad Mini, which just has wifi. On the iPad Mini with 4g, it’s not hopeless.

Like many people, my Wi-Fi-only iPad rarely leaves my apartment, but I’ve been taking the Nexus 7 Mobile everywhere.

Then get a iPad with 4g. You make this sound as if the iPad only has wifi.

but Google’s first tablet effort remains an impressive one.

Except it’s not really their first tablet. That was the Xoom, i.e. the one with the Google Experience.
