Yes, but you’re heavily assuming that other solutions won’t exist that are native to the platform that already out-perform the capabilities of Office on iOS and Android.
If you release a gimped product and expect people to pay for an even worse experience than competing products (some of which require no payment at all), rather than drive people towards your ecosystem, it will push them even further towards their own.
