MS is a big corporation and every organization is (relatively) independent.
The Office Team has been working on that since 2011. There is no point in throwing iOS or Android Devices in “not supported” list.
If WP will not succeed just because of Office the is not a good Product in the first Place.
MS knows that and knows that Office must survive and grow.
There are 1b iOS and Android devices.
WP has Office and… as a prove People do not buy Phones for Office.
