That would be me. I’m still dealing with the trauma of seeing a couple hundred linear feet of bookshelves become neglected.
I’ve bought several of my favorites on the Kindle, and even though I pick up the paper version occasionally (very rarely) , I’ve discovered the Kindle “reading experience” is, for me, superior.
I’ve also discovered that it’s so easy to get books that I’m reading more, and a wider variety. I used to hit the used bookstore every couple of weeks, but I rarely ventured into new realms. Now, because of the lending library, the free/very cheap books, and the ease of one-click purchasing, I’m discovering (again) the joy of discovering new authors. New genres. New viewpoints.
LOVE my Kindle. It’s very high on my list of “Things I want when stranded in the wilderness.” (But not as high as my generator and self-replenishing fuel tank.)
