It’s not really viable to test out the battery life of an ereader unless you spend long, long hours reading nonstop just make that deadline by the end of the week. My Kindle Touch can easily last 30 hours of reading but then again it took me two weeks of reading 2-3 hours per day to run down the battery to almost nothing.
I’m sure these guys have other things to do. Amazon did state that the battery life is comparable to the KT even with the light on (low setting) so that would mean it should get roughly 30 hours based on their previous benchmark.
