Audio is a huge deal for me. I’m not planning on getting a Kindle, I like my iPhone and Galaxy Nexus for on the go, I have an Original iPad for tablet style tasks. The new Retina iPad would be my recommendation to friends for a “real tablet”, ie colour, apps, Internet use etc.

I’m thinking about a lot of the Kindles market, “book lovers”. Perhaps a large number of whom love the cheap price of a Kindle, and it’s utter simplicity. Amazons business is to sell content, the hardware doesn’t really matter to them, although you would certainly feel proud for making such wonderful devices! :-)

They own Audible, like Michael Jordan to basketball, they ARE audiobooks, recognized worldwide. I would think “Audible” as a brand has all the potential to be “Kindle” level familliar.

I’m currently listening to a podcast now, as I doze off, I listen to audiobooks at work, restoring furniture.

Adding a simple headphone output and Audiobook/Podcast playback to this device would open up a whole new world to its purchasers, and it would be quite profitable for Amazon.
