I simply cant understand this, WHY wouldnt it have a simple 3.5mm out, and a small speaker? Audiobooks are hands down my favourite way to “read”, the best way to really enjoy a story, you simply cant beat having the full text read by a whole “cast”, different voices, expressions etc. I guess a perfect stage production would be better still, but who wants to watch a troop of thespians go through a half hundred costume changes over a 20 hour long play???? :-)
The Kindle is small enough that you could realistically listen to audiobooks from it, it would make sense?
Handling audio, and having a 3.5mm output would add what, a dollar to the cost of the device, and since, ummmmmmmmm, Amazon owns Audible, the leading audiobook company…….wouldnt it make sense to integrate their own audio products into their lead device??? :-)
