I get that point, and it doesn’t really bother me that they ship them without the wall plug, but I don’t think it’s right to assume “well, everybody has one from their whatever product, or an extra one kicking around in the junk drawer”…the Kindle is a device I’ve bought for a few people as gifts, like my mother and grandfather, who don’t really have a bunch of those wall plugs rolling around in a desk drawer. I think the Kindle is a pretty popular gadget gift for people that don’t have very many gadgets, which leads me to believing that assumption is not as valid as it is would be for other devices.
Again, it doesn’t bother me too much, I think an extra $10 on top of the price of a Kindle is still a really good value, and so long as I know before buying, that I need to pick up the additional accessory, I don’t mind at all.
