Some companies skip on shipping things like chargers and manuals with often times expensive and potentially overpriced products , I don’t feel like the Kindle is overpriced, I think for what it is, and the services Amazon offers, it’s a good deal, so the lack of charger doesn’t bother me. However, I do like having dedicated/matched chargers for things, and would have preferred not making a second purchase after buying my Kindle Touch, but whatever.
Having the Nexus 7 come bundled with a charger made me happy, for what I considered to be a very reasonable price attached to the hardware, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they shipped them without chargers, to save a few bucks.
