I’ve not found an absolute need yet for this gesture support you deem a necessity. Beware what you deem a necessity for yourself vs. what is a necessity for consumers in general. Most consumers don’t even use the current gesture support of laptop trackpads. Granted, this is because most are completely unaware of the gestures, but don’t think for one second it’s a deal breaker. A scroll wheel still works fine for scrolling. Ctrl+scroll wheel still works fine for zooming. No status quo is being breached by the absence of gesture support.
