Win+C opens only the charms bar. So you need to use your mouse or touch to select the actual functions.
With dedicated Search, Share, Devices and Settings buttons it is even faster. Imagine: switching monitors is very fast by only pressing Devices and select the monitor with the up/down arrow keys. Share and Search inside apps is also only one key stroke away.
