i agree with you that you should do research on phones before carrier. my orginal post has nothing to do with network. everyone agrees vzw is the best when it comes to networks. but they are the worst when it comes to locking phones down and adding a ton of bloatware. my family all got iphones JUST so they didnt have bloatware. they dont like them, but they hated all the apps that pop up and are annoy you with notifications. i offered to root and install custom roms, but they arent that technically savvy, and didnt want me to “hack” their phones. its a common sentiment.
