I’m pretty sure it’s only on that USB board for development and prototyping. It will likely be integrated into the device’s main board in a final product. I doubt they’re announcing anything for Windows 7 simply because we’re not going to be seeing Windows 7 based computers (desktops and laptops) that need this kind of input. When they say Win8 devices, they’re likely talking about tablets.
Now, get this into a Sixaxis controller, and it might actually make that entire feature usable.
