Bigger limit now is software licensing to allow you to use all your available ram on your server. Well…. that and how many chips you can fit on a dimm, and whether or not you can afford higher density memory chips. That all said we are no where near the limit of our processor’s abilities to translate virtual memory addresses to physical memory addresses.
