I’m an Android user and this whole thing is already provoking yanws on me. I just don’t see the point of small tablets…education? Big ones are preferable. Phone replacement? The opposite is going to happen: big phones will render these little tablets useless. This sounds like a me-too product rushed in the wake of the Kindle Fire’s holiday success – perhaps Google didn’t notice that Kindle Fire sales have already plummeted after the initial hype. (First quarter sales: iPad 11 million, Galaxy Note 4 million, KF BLANK).
It’s a lot like Google Music:: endless leaks and anticipation, for what we already knew would be a MEH product. Let’s hope they actually have a really killer price or features or something, but in principle, I just see no need for another gadget.
PS: the current Android flagship is already at 4.8 inches, and a bunch of bigger handsets are almost guaranteed to hit before the end of the year. And unlike Android tablets, the S3 is actually selling.
