Excellent article, Matt.
One quibble – Although saying “TMI was shut down” has a good amount of dramatic effect, it is not true. Reactor #2, the larger of the two on the island, was the one which had a partial meltdown and was never brought back online. Reactor #1 is still online. On clear days, such as today, it’s pretty awesome to see the two cooling towers from my house.
