As Numberoneoppa’s has stated, those are pretty big reasons. If those factors will not give/take your photography to the next level, then don’t jump to FX. If you are heavily invested in DX, meaning you have DX lens and not FX lens, then the move to FX is going to cost you considerably more.
For me, the added Dynamic Range(low light) and extended field of view are the major selling points. A more weather sealed body and sturdier construction are also excellent bonuses.
The question I need to answer is whether the D600, if/when released, is more than 80% of the D800 at half the price and how it feels in the hand?
