Not sure on what basis you’re judging a lens you’ve never used, but assuming this lens is somewhat in line with the previous 18-200mm, it should be great. Nobody’s going to mistake this for a high-end portrait prime or fixed-aperture zoom.
I’ve had the 18-200 since it first came out, and it’s my go-to lens 90% of the time. Instead of wasting time switching lenses, I can be taking pictures. Sure, primes give sharper shots, but I’ve gotten tons of shots with the 18-200 I’d have missed if I had to swap lenses constantly.
