Without something to actually stop the blade, even a real sword wouldn’t feel right. I imagine haptic feedback would be useful. I think it would be really cool to have some weights that shift position on impact within the game, taking advantage of centripetal (centrifugal?) force — like when swinging on a swing and then suddenly leaning forward instead of back slows you down. But that seems to me very complicated.
Regardless, what he is planning on doing is pretty awesome and may eventually spawn more realistic controllers and better games, and — damnit — isn’t that the point!?
