No, the digital marketplace allows anybody to become a publisher. The days of the giant publishing houses is coming to an end, followed by a new era of smaller publishing houses who can compete on level ground. Not having to have a huge printing facility, shipping network and physical store presence enables smaller players to compete.
This is currently taking place and amazon should not be in the position to determine who lives or dies in that marketplace.
