And not technically, but factually you are incorrect. That story was fabricated by AT&T and Verizon who spent tens of millions on this FUD. They used their contacts in the satellite and GPS industries to help spread this BS and lean on the FCC to keep raising the bar that LS had to meet. Of course you’ll never hear that officially admitted because it might suggest conflicts of interest..such as with certain officials whose friends have huge stakes in AT&T and Verizon.
