But is it still architecturally a plug-in? Or is it now a module that is included in the build path for IE10? I think that’s what people are worried about. When MS says “No plug-ins in IE10 Metro” and then let Flash as a plug-in exist, it really shows a bit of favoritism. But if they instead integrate the component into the IE10 codebase, and therefore updates are wrapped up in IE10 updates, then that keeps them looking better to plug-in developers(if not slightly clever).
