This doesn’t take motion into account.
Humans are really good at detection motion, and there’s so much more information in a 1080p frame that would appear as changing data that WOULD be perceived even if you couldn’t detect static detail at that level.
Case in point: the flock of white birds during the intro of Planet Earth. The wing-flapping stops much sooner in 720p than it does in 1080p, no matter what calculations you do.
