Maybe you don’t get it.
This deal is to alleviate the concerns of those that are in the market for a new computer and don’t want to wait, but are scared to buy one for fear that their OS will be “obsolete” in short order. These folks can now feel comfortable in buying a new computer without waiting, knowing that they can upgrade for cheap when the time comes, if they so choose.
