They know it won’t sell big by itself, so they want to make it as cheap as possible so they can brag about “big launch numbers”. It will be hilarious when even after this move, there still won’t beat a very big launch, because people don’t want the Metro interface, other than the geek Microsoft fanbois who think it’s the best thing ever. Normal users will be put off by the radical interface forced on them when buying a new laptop, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they ask for a “downgrade”.
