I considered low/middle-end WP device as a replacement for my middle-end Android mobile in a few years. I’m starting to doubt it would be good. As much as I hate pre-4.0 UI and its bugs, I was able to replace the software with CyanogenMod or just better spiced stock ROM, overclock the CPU and increase overall performance, so that it works at acceptable speed and smoothness. And what about WP7? The best I get can is custom ROM but the level of possible customization is far lower.

I guess I have to wait and anticipate changes for good in the near future, after Windows and Windows Phone 8 release.
