There were other electronics hobbyist, solder-it-yourself, computers around at that time. The Apple I isn’t unique, though I understand it’s importance to people with Applephilia.
And after that, the Apple II was a great computer, but it wasn’t the only one about. It had direct competitors in the 8-bit PC world.
