Until now, getting a hold of Google Glass has meant joining its $1,500 Explorer program and picking them up in one of a select few cities. Today Google said it is taking Glass on the road, letting you pick up Glass and try it on for yourself. Members of the Glass team will be on hand to answer any questions.
The first event takes place Oct. 5th in Durham, North Carolina, part of the state's science-focused Research Triangle. More cities will be announced soon, the company said on Google+. At some point, Google is expected to open up retail stores to let people try their products in malls across America. Until then, your best bet for seeing Glass live might be checking it out on tour.
