The Oppo N1 launching December 10th for $599

Oppo N1

Chinese manufacturer Oppo has slowly gained a reputation among Android fans for offering high-end specs, software flexibility, and value. Its latest smartphone, the N1, is a push to contest for the premium market, featuring a 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage. The N1, much anticipated in some circles, will be available next week.

Specs aside, the N1 has two standout features: a 13-megapixel camera that can rotate to take photos of you or your surroundings, and the option to come preinstalled with the popular Android version CyanogenMod. Users purchasing an N1 will be able to choose between Oppo's skinned version of Android, CyanogenMod, or both. The phone will be available directly from Oppo and other retailers from December 10th for $599 in the US, or €449 in Europe. Oppo hasn't provided us with a precise list of launch countries, but we've reached out for more details and will update this article accordingly.
