guillermo del toro sketch 2

Guillermo del Toro fans, rejoice. The famed Pacific Rim director has just published an epic anthology of the sketches, ideas, and inspiration behind his imaginative, haunting films. The 256-page hardcover book, titled Cabinet of Curiosities: My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions, includes numerous snippets of pages from del Toro's journals, including original sketches of Hellboy, a peek inside the director's legendary "Bleak House," as well as original commentary from del Toro himself. You can find scans of a few pages over at The Guardian to get a taste for the layout of the book.

If you aren't yet sold on the $36.00 collection, Cabinet also includes a foreword by director James Cameron, an afterword by Tom Cruise, and contributions from science fiction author Neil Gaiman.
