New trailers: 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,' 'Sal,' 'Machete Kills,' and 'I, Frankenstein'

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

This weekend Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity is finally hitting theaters, but we’ve still got three more months of movies in 2013. Let’s take a look at some of the latest trailers to make the rounds.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

The new Captain Kirk becomes the new Jack Ryan in this thriller directed by Kenneth Branagh. Tom Clancy’s hero has been played by three other actors; we’ll find out in December if Chris Pine can match the likes of Alec Baldwin and Harrison Ford.

Oh James Franco, what can’t you do? In his latest magic trick, he directs this biopic about 1950s actor Sal Mineo. It will be be getting a limited release next month, but you’ll be able to watch through video on demand or iTunes on October 22nd.

Machete Kills

What’s better than a trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s Machete sequel? Marrying that trailer with terrible 3D TV ads. Check out the video below and you’ll see what we’re talking about soon enough.

I, Frankenstein

Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, and Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski star in this adaptation of the graphic novel. Eckhart plays Frankenstein's monster — going by the name of Adam — who finds himself caught up in an angst-filled battle with gothy CG monsters. From the producers of Underworld, you say? Of course it is.
