Apple has announced that its long-awaited new iMac computers will be available for purchase starting on November 30th. The new iMac features an all-new design with a 5mm edge and comes in 21.5-inch and 27-inch versions. The new iMac also features Apple's new Fusion Drive, which combines a 128GB SSD with a 1TB or 3TB hard drive. Apple claims that the new drive improves performance across the board, and that the two halves of the drive are "fused together with software."

The 27-inch model features a 2560 x 1440 pixel display, while the 21.5-inch version makes do with a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen. Both displays have 178-degree viewing angles. Prices for the new iMacs start at $1299, including 8GB of RAM and a standard 1TB hard drive, and you can configure them with either Core i5 or i7 processors. Unfortunately, if you are a fan of optical drives, you are out of luck, as the new iMacs are not configurable with them at all. The 21.5-inch model will be available in stores immediately on November 30th, while the 27-inch version will ship later in December, though customers will be able to place orders for it starting this Friday.
