Starting today, Sony is heavily discounting Music Unlimited for PlayStation Plus members, offering the streaming music service for just $12 a year. It's not a reason to ditch Spotify or Rdio — Music Unlimited's user interface lags behind its competitors — but at nearly 90 percent off it's safely in the land of justifiable impulse buying. (Despite the lackluster software, Music Unlimited does boast a great catalog of more than 18 million tunes). PS3 owners who are not PlayStation Plus members can also join in on some Music Unlimited savings, though the deal is not as sweet: they can buy a yearly subscription plan for $59.99, a little less than half off the regular price of $10 a month.
