Microsoft appears to be ready to unveil Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 this week. LiveSide reports that Roger Capriotti, Director of Product Marketing for Internet Explorer, announced the release date for a preview version of IE10 during an event in China today. The company previously promised the preview version would arrive in mid-November, and if the reports are accurate then it appears to be on time.

There's still no word on when a final version of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 will be made available, with Microsoft opting to ship a public preview to record feedback. IE10 for Windows 7 will include improved performance and additional standards support. Developers will be able to use the same standards used by Windows 8 to target IE10 on Windows 7. We've reached out to Microsoft for comment on the IE10 preview release date and we'll update you accordingly.
