T-Mobile launching Nokia Lumia 710, prepares accessories push

Nokia Lumia 710 press shot

We've just received an image from a trusted source that suggests T-Mobile will be encouraging sales reps to push accessories when it launches the Nokia Lumia 710 in the coming days. Of course, none of this comes as a surprise — carriers almost always encourage high-margin accessory bundles with new phone purchases by their subscribers — but this would be the most official confirmation yet that the Lumia 710 is coming to T-Mobile after it announced a New York event next week and let a T-Mobile-branded unit pick up FCC approval. Whether there will be any other Nokia models bundled in with this impending announcement remains to be seen, but we imagine there will be a few folks disappointed if the higher-end Lumia 800 isn't also part of the deal (unlikely at this point).

A little heavy on the double negatives? So is the 800 coming or not?

Either way I hope for Nokia’s sake none of the device(s) announced next week are T-Mobile exclusive, it will do nothing for their market share in the US and North America. Remember how little of an impact the G1 had, it was the Droid launch that brought Android to the masses.

I didn’t see a double negative in the post at all. I would be disappointed if the 800 doesn’t get announced for T-Mo (which seems not likely to be announced along with the 710).

Or maybe the leak is not as broad as it seems to be.

Yes, perhaps double negative is not the right term but it is rather ambiguous wording.

They did not use no double-negatives, and you don’t have no clue what a double-negative is.

So if it’s not likely that it’s not going to be part of the announcement, what would you call it? I remember that being called a double-negative, but I haven’t been to grammar school in years. I got the point, but I see where OP was coming from.. :)

“..a few folks (will be) disappointed if the higher-end Lumia 800 isn’t also part of the deal (unlikely at this point).”
OP is suggesting possibly that it sounds unlikely that the 800 will not be part of the possible release in the american market upon reading that statement.

Does anyone else feel like T-Mobile over-hypes their events?

D:

For your own sake Nokia, sell the Lumia 800 there so that you won’t be bashed by them Americans, or release/announce something new, which is even more interesting. :D

I’m really tired of seeing you bashed. :(

Do dock. No love.

Sorry.

I could see this being a massive success. The phone is super attractive and so is windows phone mango. Girls will eat this right up.

Way to get a guy all excited to jump from Android to the Lumia 800 one day, and then pull the carpet from under him the next…Thanks T mobile and Nokia…BTW on the same day, the 14th, I hear they will be releasing the white GS2…my contract is up on the 11th…Nokia I’m letting you know now I still want to give you my money

No Lumia 800!?

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

So this is the assortment of devices elop was talking about? The free phone and it’s accessories. I was expecting lumia 800, 850, 900 and 1000 USA is #1 edition. This is a very palm like idea of making a splash, and I want Nokia to succeed in us.

Hey, maybe we can finally get headphones compatible with WP7. Been looking for a replacement pair that 100% works with my Focus since the ones that come with the device broke.

Any idea what T-mobile will be charging for this phone? If the unlocked version if going to go for around $300 I imagine the on-contract price to be $100 or less. Definitely interested in one for an off-contract price of $300.
